We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our sales team. As an SDR, you will play a critical role in driving our sales pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads through outbound prospecting efforts. You will work closely with Account Executives (AEs) to hand overqualified leads, helping them close new business and contribute to the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation: Proactively generate new leads through cold calling, email outreach, and social selling (primarily via LinkedIn and other channels).
Outbound Prospecting: Identify and target potential customers using various tools and techniques (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM, etc.), researching prospects’ business needs, pain points, and decision-makers.
Qualifying Leads: Conduct discovery calls to qualify leads based on defined criteria such as company size, industry, needs, and budget. Ensure prospects are a good fit for our product offerings.
Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings and product demos between qualified leads and Account Executives (AEs).
Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all activities, prospects, and opportunities in CRM (HubSpot). Ensure that all leads and interactions are tracked properly.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure a smooth handoff of leads, develop effective outreach strategies, and provide insights into market trends.
Follow-up and Nurturing: Continuously follow up with prospects, providing them with relevant information, resources, and updates on our product solutions to build relationships and drive engagement.
Metrics & Reporting: Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs such as the number of calls made, emails sent, meetings booked, and opportunities created. Provide regular reports to leadership on progress and performance.
Key Requirements:
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer service role, preferably in a SaaS/software company (or a related field).
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to engage prospects effectively, articulate value propositions, and handle objections professionally.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using sales tools such as CRM systems (HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and email automation tools. Familiarity with marketing automation platforms is a plus.
Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented: Ability to work independently and be highly motivated by individual and team targets. You thrive in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
Research Skills: Strong ability to conduct research on prospective clients and industries to tailor outreach strategies effectively.
Team Player: Collaborative mindset, willing to share best practices and help other SDRs and AEs achieve their goals.
Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferred, but not required).
What We Offer:
Competitive Salary: Base salary plus performance-based commission.
Growth Opportunities: We provide career development and opportunities for growth within the sales organization.
Comprehensive Benefits: Health, paid time off, and more.
Dynamic Work Environment: Join a vibrant, collaborative team in a rapidly growing company.
Training and Development: Ongoing coaching, training, and support to help you succeed.
